Relationships Matter

Working from home during the pandemic has reminded me that: We’re all human and relationships matter.

So what?

Here’s what.

Often, and for the first time, through video conferences, we’re seeing clients and agency partners in more intimate and special ways. We’re in each other’s homes, we see their kids, their pets, their kitchens, their rooms, their spouses and I’ve seen my share of client pajamas.

I also realize that this is the way we should always think about each other. We’re people with real struggles, real wins, real losses and (mostly) all trying to do the right thing for our family, friends, co-workers, business partners and careers.

A business family

We see our client partners as an extension of our family. Not a day goes by that we don’t reach out to someone we work with, or worked with, to check in on them. Not for business purposes, but for people purposes. We invite clients for virtual drinks, and we make sure we’re in constant communication. Moreover, we don’t start meetings without first making sure the people on the phone or video chat are doing okay. We care about you…even more than we care about the ad we’re about to fight over.

People 2 People

At SRH we don’t claim to be B2B or B2C, DTC, or whatever. We are P2P. And just like how we want your brand and products to make meaningful connections with people, we want our partnership with you to be equally so. I’m not convinced that client partners always realize how much we care about them and how much we think about them.
